Welcome to Your College Hockey Recruiting Events and Dates to Remember section. There are many dates to remember, tasks to complete and deadlines to meet. I have put together the most important dates and events so you will have one simple place to go for your updates. I will be updating this page regularly so you can mark your calendars and prevent these important events and dates from falling through cracks because of your busy schedule.

When you make your first contact with a coach, one of the initial things you will be asked is whether you have written your SAT's and/or ACT's. Mark these dates in your calendar.

SAT Testing Dates 2013 - 2014

  • October 05, 2013 - Register by September 06, 2013
  • November 02, 2013 - Register by October 03, 2013
  • December 07, 2013 - Register by November 08, 2013
  • January 25, 2014 - Register by December 27, 2013
  • March 08, 2014 - Register by February 07, 2014
  • May 03, 2014 - Register by April 04, 2014
  • June 07, 2014 - Register by May 09, 2014

ACT Testing Dates 2013 - 2014

  • September 21, 2013 - Register by August 23, 2013
  • October 26, 2013 - Register by September 27, 2013
  • December 14, 2013 - Register by November 08, 2013
  • February 08, 2014 - Register by January 10, 2014
  • April 12, 2014 - Register by March 07, 2014
  • June 14, 2014 - Register by May 09, 2014

The next important event involves enrolling in the eligibility center.

Early signing of NLI - November 9 to 16
Signing NLI - April 11 to August 1

Complete FAFSA paperwork

Conference Playoffs - TBA

NCAA Tournament - TBA

Contact from coaches - Division 1 Men's Hockey first contact by coaches - January 1 of sophomore year (Grade 10)

Seminars -

Pro signings - Keep a watch on the pro signings of players from the schools you are considering. A pro signing means a roster spot may open up for you.

Tournaments - are a great opportunity to see several NCAA teams in one weekend. Book some tickets for one of the following tournaments listed to see some excellent hockey while you continue your college hockey recruiting research.

Showcase Tourneys -
These tourneys are an excellent way for you to display your skills both on and off the ice to a large number of NCAA coaches and get on their radar.

August 10 and 11, 2013 - The first ever Ontario Summer Select Showcase will be held this year in Cornwall, Ontario. It is a two day event on August 10 and 11, 2013 at the Benson Complex. Scouts from NCAA, CHL, and NHL will be present to see the top U19 Junior A players from the CCHL, NOJHL and OJHL.

Spring is a good time for non prospects to meet. The season has finished and you will be able to receive more focused time with the Coach

Prospect Games - 
Being chosen for a Prospect Game is an excellent way to gain another opportunity to show your talents to NCAA scouts and coaches

  • EHL Prospects Game - for players in the EHL (Eastern Hockey League) who are in their final year and have not made a decision about NCAA hockey.
  • NAHL Top Prospects Tournament - for players in the North American Hockey League without an NCAA commitment
  • SIJHL Showcase - Superior International Junior Hockey League Showcase is an event for all six teams in the league to showcase their players for college and university coaches and scouts.

Prepare/update your profile/video/resume.
Always have this information close at hand. You never know when you will meet a coach unexpectedly. A coach will be extremely impressed if you can produce this information during a chance encounter. It might just be your chance to get onto his radar.
